A 3-Day Mindfulness Retreat on the Wild & Scenic Salmon River

Gain focus, clarity, and calm through meditation along the Wild & Scenic Salmon River in the luscious mountains of Idaho. We will be exploring the many facets of this spiritual and mental practice through a combination of lessons and guided sessions.

Meditation 101

This retreat is designed to satisfy beginners and experienced meditators alike. We will cover the basic elements of meditation and expand your understanding of the benefits and philosophies of meditation. Lessons are informed by traditional Himalayan Yogic Philosophy blended with research from the more modern Mindfulness Movement. By Day Three, you will be encouraged and inspired to begin meditating daily at home using the techniques learned during your retreat.

Each day, immerse yourself in:

  • Morning Meditation at the River

  • Mindfulness in Nature

  • Meditation 101- the Nature of your Mind & Meditation Philosophy

  • Yoga Nidra (sleep meditation) in the evening

Mindfulness

Mindfulness= being in the present moment. On your retreat, you will use nature as a tool to immerse yourself in a variety of mindfulness-based techniques. These tools aid us in living our lives more fully with intention and awareness.

During your retreat you will explore Mindful-

  • Mindfulness & Meditation Guide

    Christina is passionate about connecting people to natural spaces and sharing the wide variety of traditional Himalayan Yoga practices to cultivate inner peace. She has completed over 1,000 hours of Yoga & Meditation Teacher training + 14 years of personal practice, including: Meditation & Kriya (energy) with Master Yogis in Rishikesh, India, Restorative Yoga, Somative Intuitive Healing, Yoga Psychology, & Mindfulness Meditation.

    She believes that with the proper tools in hand, everyone has the ability to be their own meditation guide. By guiding yourself from within, you are able to have an even deeper and more profound inner experience and awakening.

  • Plant-Based Chef & Mindful Eating Guide

    Tina Moden AKA Chef Harmony is a passionate facilitator of change through consciously co-creating sacred community space, and heart centered events. She had an experience with the Divine in 2012 that she refers to as a gift of Knowing. This opened up a whole new spiritual world and she began a period of great change, altering her life with the awareness of an important mission for HUmanity that involves self realization, unity conscious and ascension. She embodies self sovereignty and freely shares her insights and journey. She uses the power of metaphysics, and universal laws as sacred tools, and reminds us we all have access. She seeks to be in community with others desiring change at a core level, and often initiates or ignites a transformation within.

    She is thrilled to commune with others seeking meditation as an avenue to expansion. With her joy of wholesome, beautiful food and knowledge of nutrition through delicious whole food plant based offerings that are beneficial for your body and soul. She is currently over the moon excited about co-creating small group spiritual pilgrimages & a conscious community resource center in the Kooskia area- summer 2023!

About Mavens’ Haven

Nestled above the Wild & Scenic Salmon River and flanked by National Forests & Wilderness Areas, Mavens’ Haven offers guests a beautiful place to learn, rest & rebuild. There are expansive vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, bee hives, chickens, a wood-fired sauna, koi pond, beach, fire pit, and Labyrinth.

The Haven was created with sustainability and self-sufficiency principles. Many of the accommodations are off-the grid and all are unique (such as sheep wagons!) and comfortable. Each one away from the main house has its own outdoor sitting area. Off-the-grid accommodations are equipped with solar lanterns, a wood stove, and a compostable loo or chamber pot. We hope you are inspired by this natural setting and earth-centric lifestyle.

Note: Mavens’ Haven is an Adult-Only, No-Dog property to keep the peace among the resident animals and landscaped permaculture intact.

Chef Harmony lovingly prepares whole, healing food that is anything but boring! A true gift of nature with a rainbow of colors and flavors that will get us salivating. The most natural, interactive & sensual way to commune with nature is with the food we eat.

Wherever you are at on your journey, incorporating whole, plant-based foods will benefit your health, and ultimately assist in every aspect of your life as it directly affects your personal vibration.
